Daily Announcements for the Week of January 8, 2019 

 

  • TCC students should report to the library during their TCC class periods this week.
  • Have you ever thought about being a Legacy cheerleader but thought you had to have back handspring? Guess what? No back handspring? No problem! We will teach you everything you need to know for tryouts. What IS required is attending the parent meeting. There will be two meetings this month. You and a parent must attend one of these mandatory meetings. Mark your calendar. The dates are January 10th or 15th at 7 PM at the MISD Center for Performing Arts. If you have questions go talk to Mrs. Watson, she’s the short red haired math teacher. We hope to see you at tryouts!
  • Anyone interested in trying out for baseball must attend mandatory meeting Thursday, January 10 after school in W 307.
  • TCC and Texas Wesleyan Dual Credit Students – Payments are due by this Friday. They are $65 for each class. You will be sent to pay the bookkeeper during your dual credit block when you go to the library this week.
  • Students: Please take out the schedule you were given Monday. Take out your cell phone or ipad and take a picture. Save the photo in case you lose your schedule.
  • The library is closed during ALL lunches this week. Students must remain in the cafeteria during lunch all week.

  • StuCo is promoting January as Acts of Kindness month – Each day we will announce, tweet and insta a quick and easy opportunity for you to help your neighbor and promote kindness as a way of life. Today we ask each of you to offer your time and lend a helping hand to make someone’s life easier! #LHSJanuary #ActsofKindness #LoveYourNeighbor
  •  The Anime Club meets this Thursday. Bring your favorite Manga to read for our Manga Cafe

  • Students, are you interested in seeing Costa Rica in June? Ziplining through the rainforest? Kayaking? Soaking in natural hot springs? Maybe even learning to surf? See Ms. Suarez in J103.
  • Ben Barber 1st session students… this is a reminder for you. You must attend your assigned advisory class each day when returning from Ben Barber. Advisory begins at 10:30...do not be late. Advisory class lists are posted under the stairs in the cafeteria near the attendance office. Be sure to check the list if you are unsure where to go for Advisory. No excuses.

  • Attention Legacy High Fishing Club!! We will be holding a brief meeting after school, Wednesday, January 16th, 2019. It will take about ten minutes. Once again, Legacy High Fishing Club……We will be holding a brief meeting after school, Wednesday, January 16th, 2019. All member’s attendance is required!

  • The final days to order a 2019 yearbook are here! January 17 is the last possible day. Check the list in the cafeteria to see if you've ordered a book. You can order online at legacystudentmedia.com or through Legacy's bookkeeper. See a student in yearbook, newspaper or photo for a coupon code. Remember you also have the option to add your personal photo to your cover this year. Yearbook sales end Thursday!
