Spotlight on: All Pro Dads Organization at WBE
This Wednesday morning (11/15/17) at 7:15, a group of Willie Brown dads will meet in the WBE Library to discuss a topic near and dear to their hearts: their kids. The WBE chapter of the national All Pro Dads organization is in its second year and going strong. According to national spokesman Tony Dungy, the reason these dads meet once a month in the library is to "become an uncommon father" and "influence (their) children in significant ways.
Statistics on their website (https://allprodadsday.com/) show that actively involved dads make a difference. Although the numbers paint a frightening picture of what can happen when dads aren't engaged, the Willie Brown chapter puts a positive spin on the impact dads can have. While these dads enjoy fellowship each month, they also come away with tools to be that "uncommon father".
